Is there any treatment for a pedunculated external hemorrhoid with out having surgery?
What can I use to reduce swelling?
An MD can put a tie or band around it and it will drop off. He will give you something to keep it fairly comfortable. As far as swelling all of the OTC preparations are about the same.
I have a Hemorrhoid and i need to ways to cure it?
Hello I got a Hemorrhoid last night and want to was to get rid of it. I think I got it by straing to hard during a bowel movement. Any ideas will be helpful
Hemorrhoids are swollen, inflamed veins around the anus or lower rectum. They are either inside the anus or under the skin around the anus. They often result from straining to have a bowel movement. Other factors include pregnancy, aging and chronic constipation or diarrhea.
Hemorrhoids are very common in both men and women. About half of all people have hemorrhoids by age 50. The most common symptom of hemorrhoids inside the anus is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. Symptoms usually go away within a few days.
If you have rectal bleeding you should see a doctor. You need to make sure bleeding is not from a more serious condition such as colorectal or anal cancer. Treatment may include warm baths and a cream or other medicine. If you have large hemorrhoids, you may need surgery and other treatments.

Rectal Bleeding As Possible Hemorrhoids Symptom
Anal bleeding is actually a symptom of hemorrhoids, it can appear with internal and external hemorrhoids. In case of internal
hemorrhoids you must be even more cautious because bleeding can be a sign of additional gastro-intestinal troubles such as
fissure, fistula, colorectal cancer, diverticulosis or colitis.
That is why it is very important to have your doctor diagnose it properly.
Cause of bleeding hemorrhoids
Usual reason why hemorrhoids bleed are veins in rectum that grow to be enlarged with too much blood and rupture because of it.
Usually it happens either during or just after the bowel movement. In most cases with internal hemorrhoids it is caused
by a pallet like, very hard stool.
Stool this hard is difficult to push out and straining caused by this is responsible for hemorrhoids swelling with blood even more. It is easy for stool this hard to tear open the already injured, inflated hemorrhoid tissue and cause the bleeding.
In case that you are experiencing a hemorrhoid prolapse, the cause can be external (too much rubbing with toilet paper, extended sitting periods or even synthetic underwear).
With external hemorrhoids similar to hemorrhoid prolapse, anal bleeding can be caused “mechanically” by excessive wiping
and cleaning of an already irritated area.
Symptoms
First thing you are going to notice is going to be small blood streaks in your stool, on your underwear and toilet paper. Before bleeding starts sometimes you can also feel other hemorrhoid symptoms like general discomfort in your rectal area, anal itching and burning sensation.
But you can equally experience hemorrhoids bleeding as the very first symptom of hemorrhoids without experiencing any of the
not as much alarming symptoms at first. In case of external hemorrhoids you will notice hemorrhoids symptom very easy and
very fast.
Usually you are going to sense the bulge or swelling around your anus, you might also experience itching and burning feeling but with external hemorrhoids you always have the option to use the hand held mirror and check what is going on.
Treatment
Treatment is never high-speed, but you have more than a few methods that can help your body heal the damage faster. First thing you have to do is to soften your stool in order to prevent the damage that can be done to your colon by hard stool.
This is going to help the injured tissue restore to health quicker and stop the anal bleeding. This is crucial for internal as well as for external hemorrhoids.
You should try to avoid using toilet paper, instead use moist wipes or better yet take a shower or wash up in a bidet after the bowel movement. This is essential for external hemorrhoids because most of the rectal bleeding in this case is caused by
mechanical damage done to the damaged tissue by wiping, also try to use soft, cotton underwear.
You can also use suppositories and natural creams for speeding up the healing as well as for lubrication of the colon, this way it will be much easier to pass the hard stool.

Herbal Ingredients of Hoodia Cure Obesity Amazingly
Herbs are true friends of human beings since the evolution of mankind on the earth. Medicinal values of herbs are known to mankind for millenniums. The most remarkable feature of the herbal treatment is that herbal treatment generally does not produce any side-effects on the body. Obesity is a comparatively new disease as the disease associated with modern life style. But, nature had created its solution millions of year back. Hoodia is the name of that solution.
Hoodia is a type of succulent plant found in Kalahari Desert of Africa. This is a plant of Apocynaceae family which has great resemblance with cactus. Life is Kalahari is very tough because of extreme climatic conditions. The tribes living there have to rely on hunting for their survival and for hunting they have go deep in the desert where scarcity of food and water welcomes them. The only companion on which they can rely on is Hoodia. They consume Hoodia plant and don’t feel urge for food for whole day. The tribes of Kalahari Desert have been using this plant as medicine for curing tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension, indigestion, abdominal cramps, hemorrhoid and many more diseases.
Later the world acknowledged the efficacy of this herb and developed Hoodia drug which is now available in tablet, capsule and health drink form. Hoodia diet drug is extracted from a particular type of Hoodia plant which is known as Hoodia Gordonii. The extract is chemically known as P57. Phytopharm and Unilever are the pharmaceuticals which are developing the drug. Phytopharm got the license for the development of the drug in 1995.
The drug Hoodia fools brain by sending the signal of full stomach to it. Hoodia make it possible by increasing the level of glucose in the blood. Moreover, this signaling is done 100,000 times faster than the natural glucose. Once brain knows the stomach is full it will not secrete other bile juices and digestive enzymes. Hoodia’s efficacy is long lasting; as it can suppress the appetite for 24hours.
This medicine is free from any kind of side effects. There are no caffeine and ephedra in Hoodia medication so that there will be no harm to your body. It is a non-prescription drug which means there is no need to see your doctor to start the use of Hoodia. But for staring its use doctor’s advice as precautionary measure should be taken. Doctor must be aware about your medical history and present physical status. Hoodia’s effect on embryo is not known so pregnant ladies and breast feeding mothers must avoid using Hoodia.
Generally, 1200mg Hoodia is taken to suppress the appetite efficiently. Tablet, capsules, and Hoodia health drink have the same efficacy in curbing the appetite so in which form you are using Hoodia generally doesn’t matter. Hoodia is easily available through online order. With this method you will get it at your door steps without letting the people to know how you are getting slimmer day by day.

Can you Really Treat Hemorrhoids With Home Remedies
Hemorrhoids are not at all rare and most people have a 50% chance of developing this condition sometime in there life. While there are steps that one can take to minimize the chance of getting hemorrhoids, you may already be a hemorrhoid sufferer. If so then you may well be looking for a way to treat this painful and sometimes embarrassing condition and there are indeed many available treatments on the market. This article will discuss the natural, home remedy treatments available and examine how they stack up against other treatments.
In order to treat hemorrhoids it is important that you understand what they are. Hemorrhoids are inflamed veins in the anus and rectum so to treat them, it is a simple matter of finding a way to reduce the swelling caused by inflammation and eventually remove the source of the inflammation all together. While there are products such as over the counter creams and suppositories to do this, you may rather try some home remedies instead.
One of the easiest ways to treat the symptoms of hemorrhoids is to understand that hemorrhoids happen because of increased pressure and straining in the rectal veins. By making simple changes in both diet and lifestyle, you can make a big impact on the pressure applied to these veins. One of the biggest causes of straining during a bowel movement is a hard stool and to keep your stool soft, a change in diet can often help. A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and fiber will make you more regular and keep your stool soft. You may also wish to consider an over the counter stool softener medication. Increased pressure in the rectal veins can also be caused by excessive sitting, especially on the toilet, and by standing for too long. Changing your lifestyle to get more exercise and spend less time sitting can definitely make a difference in reducing the symptoms of hemorrhoids. While diet and lifestyle changes can help, they will take some time and you may be looking for more immediate relief.
One way for more immediate relief is to take warm sitz baths several times a day which will help reduce swelling. The bath can contain warm water or you can also add herbal ingredients for further effectiveness. It is important to keep your hemorrhoids clean and dry but you may wish to avoid using soap as it may cause further irritation. You should also avoid dry toilet paper and use moist toweletes to avoid irritation. Ice or cold packs can also help to reduce the painful swelling.
As you can see, there are steps you can take from the comfort of you own home to reduce and perhaps remove the discomfort of hemorrhoids and certain lifestyle changes may eventually remove the condition all together. If you find that this type of treatment doesnt work for you, there are other methods available such as over the counter creams, surgery, and some herbal remedies which I will discuss in some other articles.

External hemorrhoid home treatment?
I heard that if you have an external hemorrhoid you could try to push it back in. Has anyone ever tried this? Or is this a bad idea?
The hemorrhoid is not an open wound. It’s not bleeding or open or anything.
Bad idea. The exposed tissue needs to heal. Take a stool softener, aok in a warm bath, use tucks pads to wipe instead of toilet paper, apply hemroid ointment to the infected area. That’s all you need to do.
What is the natural cure for hemorrhoid?
aloe, american cranesbill, balsam or peru, bee pollen, bilberry, bistort, burdock, butcher’s broom, chamomile, horse chestnut, indigo, lungwort, myrhh, oak, St. john’s wort, Stoneroot, vervain, witch hazel.
I think I would try applying witch hazel, followed by aloe…
Diarrhea As Cause of Hemorrhoids
What is the connection between hemorrhoids and diarrhea? How can it cause hemorrhoids and what hemorrhoid treatment should you use here?
What is diarrhea?
Diarrhea is a watery stool occurring more than three times in a day, usually lasting a day or two. However, if prolonged it can be an indication of serious problems. It can be accompanied by cramping abdominal pain, bloating, nausea or an urgent need to use the bathroom.
Depending on the cause, a person may have a fever or even bloody stool. Later symptoms can be similar to hemorrhoids symptom, as both may cause rectal bleeding, itching or burning. Diarrhea can be temporary (acute), like an infection, or a long-term (chronic) problem.
Temporary usually last up to a month (3-4 weeks), and is related to infection by bacteria, virus or parasite.
Short-term can cause further discomfort if you all ready suffer from hemorrhoids, but cannot be hemorrhoids cause by it self.
Long-term diarrhea (chronic) is longer then 3-4 weeks and the cause for it comes from some kind of functional disorder like irritable bowel syndrome, similar bowel diseases, parasites, medication side effects (antibiotics, antacids, chemotherapy medications , high blood pressure drugs, nutritional supplements containing magnesium ), lactose intolerance or misuse of laxatives.
It is long-term diarrhea that is the cause of hemorrhoids, straining during very frequent bowel movements caused by diarrhea causes bulging of the veins in the anal canal, and that is what causes hemorrhoids.
When to visit a doctor?
Hemorrhoids and diarrhea are similar in several ways, people usually don’t take it seriously and it’s great for jokes, but there are several cases when you should not delay going to the doctor to get a proper diagnosis.
For example: if it lasts for more then three days, you suffer from pain in abdomen or rectum, have a high fever, there is blood in your stool or if you are dehydrated.
If any of these apply you should immediately see your doctor.
Children are exception, do not hesitate going to see the doctor, diarrhea is a very dangerous for children, causing loss of fluid and minerals.
How will your doctor diagnose diarrhea?
Your doctor can perform several exams like sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. Diagnosing condition will depend on your condition, but usually doctor will look in your medical history, perform physical examination (using special instruments to check inside rectum and colon), take stool samples to check for parasites, bacteria or any other sign of disease, take blood tests, perform food test (for allergies).
What should you eat?
If you plan to combat hemorrhoids with diet, it means that you will be attacking the hemorrhoids cause. Usually it means stacking up with food that will soften your stool. With diarrhea you must take different route and include food that will harden your stool naturally.
Any food that hardens your stool is ok, bananas, rice, toast, crackers, toast all cause stool to harden, just be careful not to over do it. Avoid milk products and most of the fruits.
Traveler’s Diarrhea
It is most common in southern parts of our planet, close to the equator. Europe, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and Australia (urban areas have one of the highest standards in the world for hygiene, but Australian outback is something different) all have very high standards when it comes to food and water.
Most of Africa, Asia and South America is where you should watch your food and water. Don’t drink tap water, don’t drink dairy products, don’t eat raw fruits or vegetables, avoid raw or rare meat. In case that you can not buy bottled water that you know for certain is OK, make sure to bring along either water purifying tablets or kits.
Also if you plan a trip in one of those areas, please contact you physician and ask for advice. Bugs that you can get, can cause a lot of damage, and make your life a misery for a long time to come.
Diarrhea is very rare the cause of hemorrhoids, but it can nonetheless contribute if you already have other predisposition. Treat it seriously and persistently and it should go away, usually all it takes is to find what food your body does not absorb well.

Symptoms Of Hemorrhoids
Do you have hemorrhoids? Not sure? If you have or think that you may have hemorrhoids, your first step should be to evaluate your symptoms. By learning what symptoms you are exhibiting, you can evaluate what sort of care and treatment you need. There are several different symptoms of hemorrhoids.
The most common symptom of hemorrhoids is bleeding. Sometimes bleeding only occurs when the hemorrhoids initially appear. Most of the time, if you have hemorrhoids, you will notice blood on your stool. You may also notice blood on your underwear. If you have experienced these symptoms and think you might have hemorrhoids, the next step is to see your doctor. Your doctor will examine your anus for swollen blood vessels and bleeding. Bleeding, however is the least of the discomfort that can occur with hemorrhoids
An internal hemorrhoid, in addition to bleeding, will sometimes move from the interior of the rectum, where it has become swollen, to the exterior of the body – the anus. In addition to irritation and bleeding, you may find the area of your anus sore and swollen. You may also experience irritation and pain. All of these symptoms are indicative of a prolapsed hemorrhoid.
When a hemorrhoid is external, in addition to causing bleeding you may feel noticeable lumps in the area of your anus. This can mean that a series of blood clots have formed from bleeding under the skin. This can cause more swelling and pain on top of the pain the hemorrhoid may already be causing you.
Other hemorrhoid symptoms may occur when you move your bowels. It is easy for hemorrhoids to become irritated each time you move your bowels. Straining, for example, that occurs regularly will cause the hemorrhoids to bleed more and cause more pain. Rubbing or cleaning the area of the anus can also cause hemorrhoids to become irritated.
When hemorrhoids become irritated it can cause more pain in the area of the anus and may cause itching. The itching may occur due to the body’s production of mucus in that area. This irritates the hemorrhoids and causes them to become more inflamed. Unchecked, this cycle of irritation and inflammation can cause more serious problems and pain that won’t easily go away.
Hemorrhoids are easily identifiable by the symptoms above. While other symptoms may occur as well, these are the most common. Other symptoms you experience may be due to a digestive disease or could be a reaction to continuous irritation to the area of the rectum. Knowing the symptoms of hemorrhoids can help you know whether you have them. Knowing if you have hemorrhoids is the first step in treating them succesfully.

Bleeding hemorrhoid most common treatment?
My husband has a hemmorhoid (External,i believe) and it has gotten a small slit in the middle that is bleeding. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow, but was wondering can anyone give me a good idea of what to expect there.Especially what kind of treatment we might be looking at. Also would surgery even have to be on the table right now, we really don’t want to do anything that extreme yet. Any Answers are appreciated.
Prevent further damage on his external anal sphincter by:
*avoiding constipation (eat fiber rich foods such as oat meal, drink extra fluid such as water and prune juice)
*avoid foods that may cause constipation
*avoid straining during defecation and avoiding too much friction during washing of the area
*sit on a doughnut-shaped cushion to avoid direct pressure on the anus
Provide temporary relieve by:
*sitting on a warm water (steam)
*or apply ice
*too much pain- can take mild analgesics but non opioids because it causes constipation
if it is too painful and damaged, the doctor may suggest an operation, hemorrhoidectomy. it is a short procedure done in an OPD or in a minor surgery suit. the patient may go home afterwards. god bless.
