Can you cure an internal hemorrhoid at home? Is this a hemorrhoid?
I may just be freaking out, but today after i went number two, there was bright red blood on the toilet paper. The stool looked fine, but the toilet paper had blood in it. There is no pain or anything, but i’m pretty sure i might have an internal hemorrhoid.
So my question is, do i have to go to the doctor? I would really like to avoid that type of invasive procedure, who wouldn’t? If i use preparation H or something and it isnt a hemorrhoid is that super dangerous?
Hemorrhoids don’t just go away. They are swollen, inflamed veins. Many times they don’t make any troubles for long time but then suddenly, due to some irritants (spicy foods, acid forming foods, or just excessive sitting/standing) can flare up. A good home natural treatment is Rue Care Oil. You need to treat also the cause of your hemorrhoid to get truly lasting results. Otherwise, the oil can treat the existing hemorrhoid, but as long as the cause is still present, sooner or later new hemorrhoid will develop.
No, you don’t have to go to the DR.
The presence of bright red blood in a small quantity is indicative of an injury (like a hemmorhoid) in the rectum and not further up in the GI tract.
It will likely disappear on its own, if you have discomfort use prep. H or tucks pads.
You may want to take sodium docusate for a couple of weeks to keep your stools soft and hasten healing.
Good luck!
